Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Mickve Israel Temple, then stop by Savannah's Candy Kitchen, then see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and finally stop by Savannah Bee Company. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Tue): identify plant and animal life at Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge, then take an in-depth tour of National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, then stop by The Witches Brew & Perfume Bar, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of First African Baptist Church.

Sarasota to Savannah is an approximately 7-hour car ride. You can also fly; or drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Sarasota in December, expect Savannah to be a bit cooler, temps between 66°F and 47°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Wed) so you can drive to Charleston.
