Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.On the 3rd (Mon), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Seattle Aquarium, then browse the fresh offerings at Pike Place Market, then explore the world behind art at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle. Keep things going the next day: walk around Volunteer Park Conservatory, examine the collection at The Museum of Flight, then stroll around Mercer Slough Nature Park, and finally take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.
