Named after the man responsible for establishing Napa Valley's first vineyard, Yountville is a destination for foodies.
Take a break from the city and head to Muir Woods National Monument and Armstrong Redwood State Reserve. Shop till you drop at Oxbow Public Market and Patrick Amiot. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Yountville: Safari West (in Santa Rosa), Pride Mountain Vineyards (in St. Helena) and Healdsburg (Gracianna Winery & Stephen & Walker Winery). And it doesn't end there: admire the striking features of Domaine Chandon, do a tasting at Robert Mondavi Winery, indulge your taste buds at Artesa Vineyards & Winery, and explore the historical opulence of Castello di Amorosa.

In September, plan for daily highs up to 81°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
