Seattle — 46 nights

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Venture out of the city with trips to Sequim (New Dungeness Lighthouse & B&B Family Farm), Seahurst Beach Park (in Burien) and Tacoma (LeMay - America's Car Museum, Museum of Glass, &more). Dedicate the 18th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Next up on the itinerary: enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle, take in the waterfront at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Woodland Park Zoo, and explore the world behind art at Seattle Art Museum.

To find more things to do, maps, where to stay, and other tourist information, refer to the Seattle day trip planner.

Charlotte to Seattle is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time, which is usually a -3 hour difference. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Charlotte in June: high temperatures in Seattle hover around 74°F and lows are around 57°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Sun) early enough to catch the flight back home.
