Denver

— 51 nights

Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Denver: Evergreen (Shadow Mountain Gallery, Bergen Peak, &more), Castle Rock (Rock Park, BURLY Brewing Company, &more) and Aurora (Plains Conservation Center & Great Plains Park). And it doesn't end there: view the masterpieces at Denver Botanic Gardens, steep yourself in history at Denver Union Station, get a sense of history and politics at Colorado State Capitol, and wander the streets of 16th Street Mall.

For other places to visit, maps, photos, and more tourist information, use the Denver road trip site.
