Beantown

Rich in museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites, Boston attracts over 16 million visitors each year. New England's largest and most influential city, Boston ranks among the world's major centers of education and culture.
Venture out of the city with trips to Plymouth (Plimoth Patuxet, Plymouth Rock, &more), Nubble Lighthouse (in York) and Lake Quannapowitt (in Wakefield). Spend the 1st (Fri) exploring nature at Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Spend a day of island exploring on the 15th (Fri) at Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Museum of Fine Arts, take an in-depth tour of USS Constitution Museum, stroll through Race Point Beach, and buy something for everyone on your list at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

For reviews, more things to do, where to stay, and tourist information, go to the Boston trip website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, Theodore Francis Green State Airport and Portsmouth International at Pease Airport. In January, plan for daily highs up to 3°C, and evening lows to -5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
