Pittsburgh

— 57 nights

City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Strip District and Carnegie Science Center. Change things up with these side-trips from Pittsburgh: Round Hill Park (in Elizabeth), Fallingwater (in Mill Run) and Latrobe (Mister Rogers' Park Bench, Lincoln Highway Experience, &more). On the 21st (Fri), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. Spend the 19th (Thu) among the lush surroundings of Gervasi Vineyard. There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, admire the masterpieces at The Andy Warhol Museum, examine the collection at Bicycle Heaven, and meet the residents at National Aviary.

To find other places to visit, photos, reviews, and tourist information, use the Pittsburgh tour itinerary site.

Ocala to Pittsburgh is an approximately 7-hour combination of bus, taxi, and flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Ocala in February, with highs in Pittsburgh at 40°F and lows at 24°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
