Here are some ideas for day two: take in the spiritual surroundings of San Felipe de Neri Church, get to know the fascinating history of Albuquerque Old Town, and then engage your brain at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque.

Many residents have shunned fast-paced city living for Taos's laid-back vibe and blend of Spanish, Native American, and Anglo cultures.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 4th (Thu): let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, then view the masterpieces at 203 Fine Art, and then identify plant and animal life at Wild Rivers Recreation Area.
