Live Music Capital of the World

Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Head to Round Rock Premium Outlets and South Congress Avenuefor plenty of shopping. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site and Willow City Loop. Venture out of the city with trips to Inks Lake State Park (in Burnet), Hye (William Chris Vineyards & Garrison Brothers Distillery) and Lewis Wines (in Johnson City). And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Bullock Texas State History Museum, admire the striking features of The Driskill, and get a taste of the local shopping with 6th Street.
