Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Do your shopping at Round Rock Premium Outlets and South Congress Avenue. Take a break from the city and head to Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site and Willow City Loop. Venture out of the city with trips to Lewis Wines (in Johnson City), Inks Lake State Park (in Burnet) and Hye (William Chris Vineyards & Garrison Brothers Distillery). And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Bullock Texas State History Museum, wander the streets of 6th Street, and contemplate the long history of The Driskill.

On the 5th (Wed), Head underground at Natural Bridge Caverns and then get to know the fascinating history of King William Historic District.
