First Eastern National Park

The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like The Seal Cove Auto Museum and Somesville Historical Museum and Gardens. Get in touch with nature at Cadillac Mountain and Sand Beach. Go for a jaunt from Acadia National Park to Hancock to see Frenchman Bay Conservancy about 40 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take a memorable drive along Park Loop Road, take in nature's colorful creations at Asticou Terraces / Thuya Garden, explore the striking landscape at Thunder Hole, and explore the landscape on two wheels at Carriage Roads.
