Big Sky is a census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in southwestern Montana. Geyser Whitewater Expeditions has been added to your itinerary. Take a break from the city and head to Yellowstone River Picnic Area and Ousel Falls Trail. Explore Big Sky's surroundings by going to Yellowstone National Park (Undine Falls, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, & more) and Horseback Riding Tours (in Gardiner). Spend the 4th (Thu) on the water with a fishing tour. There's much more to do: fly down the slopes at Big Sky Resort, hike along Beehive Basin Trail, take in the awesome beauty at Lone Peak, and pause for some serene contemplation at The Soldiers Chapel.
