Rich in museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites, Boston attracts over 16 million visitors each year. New England's largest and most influential city, Boston ranks among the world's major centers of education and culture.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Freedom Trail and Mount Auburn Cemetery. You'll explore and learn at Museum of Fine Arts and USS Constitution Museum. Explore Boston's surroundings by going to Plymouth Rock (in Plymouth) and East Over Reservation (in Rochester). There's still lots to do: shop like a local with Faneuil Hall Marketplace, get engrossed in the history at John F. Best known for its 1692 witch trials, Salem has a number of significant historical sites, a bustling downtown, and many witch-themed attractions.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, then take an in-depth tour of Salem Witch Museum, and then contemplate the long history of The House of the Seven Gables. On the 7th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at Peabody Essex Museum, contemplate the long history of Independence Park, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Marginal Way Walkway.
