Dynamo of Dixie

Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
Get a sense of the local culture at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Forest Hills Cemetery. Take a break from the city and head to Ruby Falls and Fishing Charters & Tours. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Chattanooga: River Rafting & Tubing (in Ocoee), The Lost Sea Adventure (in Sweetwater) and Cartersville (Pine Mountain Recreation Area & Booth Western Art Museum). The adventure continues: sample the fine beverages at Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery, learn about winemaking at The Georgia Winery, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Lookout Mountain, and observe the fascinating underwater world at Tennessee Aquarium.
