Galena is the largest city in and the county seat of Jo Daviess County, Illinois, with a population of 3,429 at the 2010 census. On the 30th (Mon), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and then immerse yourself in nature at Maquoketa Caves State Park. Keep things going the next day: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Blaum Bros. Distilling Co., then take in the spiritual surroundings of Dickeyville Grotto, and then walk around Eagle Point Park.
