Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
On the 14th (Fri), fly down the slopes at Vail Mountain Resort, let little ones run wild at Ford Park, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Vail / Beaver Creek Resort. On the next day, fly down the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort and then fly down the slopes at Blue River Sports.
