Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
On the 30th (Fri), do a tasting at Balistreri Vineyards, then snap pictures at Denver Millennium Bridge, and then sample the fine beverages at Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey Tour.

Founded in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush in the Rockies, Breckenridge boasts a main street lined with colorful wooden storefronts housing cafes and shops, giving the effect of a thriving western town from the 19th century.
On the 2nd (Mon), take a memorable drive along Boreas Pass Road, then tour the pleasant surroundings at McCullough Gulch, then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at Broken Compass Brewery & Tap House.

Getting from Colorado Springs to Breckenridge by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: fly; or take a bus. When traveling from Colorado Springs in November, plan for much colder days and a bit cooler nights in Breckenridge: temperatures range from 34°F by day to 22°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Mon) early enough to drive to Aspen.

An internationally known ski resort, Steamboat Springs sits in the shadow of Mount Werner in north central Colorado.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Wed): trek along Yampa River Core Trail and then push the limits with an extreme tour.
