Hartford is the capital of the U.S. state of Connecticut. Explore Hartford's surroundings by going to Gouveia Vineyards (in Wallingford) and New Haven (Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale University Art Gallery, &more). Step out of Mystic with an excursion to Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam--about 46 minutes away. The adventure continues: see the sky in a new way at Mystic Seaport Museum, see the interesting displays at The Submarine Force Museum, get engrossed in the history at Tantaquidgeon Museum, and meet the residents at Mystic Aquarium.
