One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Change things up with these side-trips from Dallas: Fort Worth (Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District & Tandy Leather Museum & Gallery). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, take in panoramic vistas at Reunion Tower, don't miss a visit to Top O'Hill Terrace, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at The Dallas World Aquarium.

Oklahoma City, known to many as the "Big Friendly," represents the political, cultural, and economic engine of the state of Oklahoma.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Wed): take in nature's colorful creations at Myriad Botanical Gardens, then see the interesting displays at SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology, then wander the streets of Bricktown, and finally don't miss a visit to Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, admire the sheer force of Turner Falls Park, and then get engrossed in the history at Santa Fe Depot Museum and Plaza.
