Fort Worth

Where the West Begins

Advertising itself as the place where the American West begins, Fort Worth stubbornly clings to its cowboy roots, making it a distinctly different town from most other urban centers of its size.
Family-friendly places like Dinosaur Valley State Park and Log Cabin Village will thrill your kids. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at NRH2O Family Water Park and JFK Tribute. Take a break from Fort Worth with a short trip to Big Rocks Park in Glen Rose, about 58 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Burger's Lake, walk around Airfield Falls Trailhead & Conservation Park, and explore the world behind art at Sid Richardson Museum.
