Highlands is an incorporated town in Macon County in the U.S. Start off your visit on the 7th (Sat): take in the awesome beauty at Whiteside Mountain. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Sun): relax in the rural setting at Chattooga Belle Farm, then surround yourself with nature on Chattooga Ridge Canopy Tours, then do a tasting at 12 Spies Vineyards and Farm, and finally stroll through Scaly Mountain Outdoor Center.

Georgia's Alpine Village

A taste of Bavaria right in the heart of Georgia's "Historic High Country," Helen houses just 400 residents but hosts over 200 shops that sell everything from handmade sweaters to Christmas ornaments.
Hardman Farm and Fields of the Wood will appeal to history buffs. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Raven Cliff Falls and Desoto Falls. Get out of town with these interesting Helen side-trips: Murphy River Walk (in Murphy), Helton Creek Falls (in Blairsville) and Appalachian Trail Rides (in Mineral Bluff).
