Circle City

Indiana's capital and most populous city, Indianapolis is best known for its racecar events and impressive museums, and as the hometown of Kurt Vonnegut.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Indianapolis: Cincinnati (Cincinnati Museum Center, JACK Cincinnati Casino, &more), Urban Vines Winery & Brewery Co. (in Westfield) and George Rogers Clark Park (in Covington). There's still lots to do: try to win big at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, have fun and explore at Children's Museum of Indianapolis, examine the collection at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, and test your team's savvy at The Escape Room Fishers.

To find more things to do, reviews, other places to visit, and more tourist information, refer to the Indianapolis day trip tool.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major aiports are Indianapolis International Airport, Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport and Grissom Air Reserve Base. In January in Indianapolis, expect temperatures between 2°C during the day and -8°C at night.
