Jekyll Island — 2 nights

A vacation on Jekyll Island allows visitors to discover the lifestyle of American aristocrats from the 19th century.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sun): get a dose of the wild on Golden Isles Carriage and Trail at Three Oaks Farm, cool off at Summer Waves Water Park, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Driftwood Beach. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at Georgia Sea Turtle Center, then get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then wander the streets of Jekyll Island Historic District.

Tampa to Jekyll Island is an approximately 5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of train and car. In July, daytime highs in Jekyll Island are 90°F, while nighttime lows are 76°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Tue) early enough to fly to Blue Ridge.

Blue Ridge — 3 nights

A small resort town located in Georgia's "Historic High Country," Blue Ridge sits right on the national scenic trail that follows the Appalachian mountain range for over 3,300 km (2,100 mi).
The Lilly Pad Village has been added to your itinerary. Explore Blue Ridge's surroundings by going to Lasso the Moon Alpaca Farm (in Blairsville) and Anna Ruby Falls (in Helen). Next up on the itinerary: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, tour the pleasant surroundings at Morganton Point Recreation Area, get outside with Outdoor Activities, and experience rural life at Mercier Orchards.
