Originally intended as a resort city to serve the Mammoth Cave attraction, Cave City has taken on a life of its own.
On the 10th (Wed), examine the collection at National Corvette Museum, examine the collection at Dinosaur World, and then explore the fascinating underground world of Hidden River Cave and American Cave Museum. Keep things going the next day: explore the fascinating underground world of Diamond Caverns, then explore the fascinating underground world of Mammoth Cave National Park, and then Head underground at Onyx Cave.

Drive from Paducah to Cave City in 3 hours. In July in Cave City, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 67°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Louisville.

Kick off your visit on the 12th (Fri): see the interesting displays at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, steep yourself in history at Conrad-Caldwell House Museum (Conrad's Castle), and then explore the fascinating underground world of Louisville Mega Cavern. On the 13th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: view the masterpieces at 21c Museum Hotel, see the interesting displays at Kentucky Derby Museum, and then examine the collection at Swope's Cars of Yesteryear Museum.
