Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lexington: Cincinnati (The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County & Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden), George Rogers Clark Park (in Covington) and XhilaRacing (in Florence). There's still lots to do: admire the majestic nature at Kentucky Horse Park, get engrossed in the history at Mary Todd Lincoln House, try to win big at Keeneland, and sample the fine beverages at Bluegrass Distillers.
