A major center for tourism and travel, Baltimore is famous as the city where amateur poet Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the United States' national anthem.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to The Walters Art Museum and Baltimore Museum of Art. Explore Baltimore's surroundings by going to Annapolis (U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland State House, &more) and Historic Downtown Frederick (in Frederick). Next up on the itinerary: sample the fine beverages at Sagamore Spirit Distillery, make a trip to Divine's Gravesite, Prospect Hill Cemetary, try your luck at Horseshoe Casino, and contemplate the long history of B&O Railroad Museum.

Solomons, also known as Solomons Island, is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Calvert County, Maryland, United States. On the 3rd (Sun), view the masterpieces at Annmarie Garden, learn about all things military at Patuxent River Naval Air Museum, and then see the interesting displays at Calvert Marine Museum and Drum Point Lighthouse.
