Hana — 1 night

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Get out of town with these interesting Lahaina side-trips: Maui Tropical Plantation (in Wailuku) and Wailea Beach (in Wailea). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Ka'anapali Beach, pause for some photo ops at Lahaina Jodo Mission, walk around Lahaina Banyan Court, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Maui Ocean Center.

You can fly from Hana to Lahaina in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of taxi and bus. In July, daytime highs in Lahaina are 86°F, while nighttime lows are 73°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) to allow enough time to fly to Dallas.
