Magic City

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Intracoastal Waterway and Wynwood. Go for a jaunt from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to see Las Olas Beach about 44 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take in the local highlights with Walking tours, browse the different shops at Bayside Marketplace, zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure, and steep yourself in history at Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College.

New York City to Miami is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from New York City in May, with highs in Miami at 36°C and lows at 27°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight to Key West.
