Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
On the 6th (Sun), look for all kinds of wild species at Ojito Wilderness. On the next day, steep yourself in history at Petroglyph National Monument, look for gifts at The Candy Lady, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Capilla de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, and finally wander the streets of Albuquerque Old Town.
