Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Mon): admire the masterpieces at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Patrick's Cathedral, then see the interesting displays at 9/11 Memorial, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Paul's Chapel. Here are some ideas for day two: get a new perspective on nature at American Museum of Natural History, wander the streets of Times Square, and then wander the streets of Fifth Avenue.
