Buckle of the Bible Belt

Sometimes known as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt," Tulsa is the second largest city in Oklahoma.
Explore Tulsa's surroundings by going to Bartlesville (Frank Phillips Home & Price Tower Arts Center), Safari Zoological Park (in Caney) and Oklahoma City (Bricktown, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, &more). And it doesn't end there: take in nature's colorful creations at Gilcrease Museum, explore the world behind art at Philbrook Museum of Art, meet the residents at Oklahoma Aquarium, and see the interesting displays at Oklahoma County Auto Trim and Mini Museum.

To find reviews, where to stay, maps, and tourist information, you can read our Tulsa itinerary app.

New York City to Tulsa is an approximately 8-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from New York City to Tulsa. When traveling from New York City in August, plan for a bit warmer days in Tulsa, with highs around 91°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 71°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
