More than just one of the nation's top business centers, Columbus is a mixture of many different parts of America, situated at the spot where the so-called "Bible Belt" meets the varied cultures of the Great Plains and Appalachia.
Step out of the city life by going to Zipline and Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve. Head to Easton Town Center and Alan Cottrill Sculpture Studio & Galleryfor plenty of shopping. Take a break from Columbus with a short trip to National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, about 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: admire the natural beauty at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, stop by Krema Nut Company, and hunt for treasures at North Market Farmer's Market.
