Theme Park Capital of the World

For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Venture out of the city with trips to Time and Tide Tours (in Port Canaveral) and The Florida Key Lime Pie Company (in Cocoa Beach). Have a day of magic on the 5th (Mon) at Walt Disney World Resort. Pack the 6th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. There's still lots to do: find something for the whole family at Universal Orlando Resort, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St James Roman Catholic Cathedral, admire the natural beauty at Harry P. Leu Gardens, and admire the masterpieces at Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.

The time zone changes from Central Standard Time (CST) to Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. Traveling from Chicago in April, expect Orlando to be warmer, temps between 84°F and 65°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Fri) to allow time for travel back home.
