A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): take in nature's colorful creations at Hoyt Arboretum and then grab your bike and head to Willamette River Trail.
