A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sat): kick back and relax at Sandy Beach, then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Crashboat Beach. On the 31st (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for gifts at Ocean State of Mind, then look for all kinds of wild species at Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, then enjoy the sand and surf at Domes Beach, and finally enjoy the sea views from El Faro Lighthouse.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
On the 1st (Mon), take in the exciting artwork at Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery, look for gifts at Isla Vida, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Secret Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Caracas Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Puerto Ferro Lighthouse, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, and then view the masterpieces at Gallery Galleon.
