6 days in Roanoke Itinerary

Roanoke is an independent city in the U.S. Step off the beaten path and head to Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech and Greenbrier River Trail. Get out of town with these interesting Roanoke side-trips: New River Trail State Park (in Max Meadows), Claytor Lake State Park (in Dublin) and National D-Day Memorial (in Bedford). There's still lots to do: walk around Mill Mountain Star & Park, make a trip to Natural Bridge State Park, learn about winemaking at Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park.
