The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Step out of the city life by going to Cave Without a Name and Horseback Riding Tours. Visit Mission San Jose and King William Historic District for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near San Antonio: Boerne (Cascade Caverns, River Road Park, &more), Luckenbach Texas General Store (in Luckenbach) and Old Tunnel State Park (in Fredericksburg). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Joseph Catholic Church, immerse yourself in nature at Hill Country State Natural Area, get to know the fascinating history of Mission Trail, and play a few rounds at La Cantera Golf Club.

To see reviews, other places to visit, traveler tips, and more tourist information, you can read our San Antonio online itinerary planner.

In March in San Antonio, expect temperatures between 76°F during the day and 54°F at night.
