Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): enjoy the sand and surf at Condado Beach, then contemplate the long history of Old San Juan, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Luquillo.

Pensacola, USA to San Juan is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Atlantic Standard Time, which is usually a 2 hour difference. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Pensacola in February: highs in San Juan hover around 84°F, while lows dip to 73°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Sat) early enough to drive to Fajardo.

Fajardo — 4 nights

Fajardo is a small city and municipality in Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the east region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Ceiba and east of Luquillo. Step out of Fajardo to go to El Yunque National Forest and see Yokahu Observation Tower, which is approximately 36 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Seven Seas, step off the mainland to explore Isla Palominos, and look for gifts at Monkey Threads.

Traveling by car from San Juan to Fajardo takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle. In February, plan for daily highs up to 83°F, and evening lows to 73°F. On the 22nd (Wed), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
