Kick off your visit on the 14th (Mon): ski along the peaceful trails at Tahoe Cross Country and then awaken your taste buds at Wine Tours From Tahoe. Keep things going the next day: get outside with Outdoor Activities, then fly down the slopes at Rock House Discount Ski & Snowboard Rentals, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Jobs Peak.

Austin to South Lake Tahoe is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time (CST) to Pacific Standard Time (PST), which is usually a -2 hour difference. Traveling from Austin in March, things will get cooler in South Lake Tahoe: highs are around 51°F and lows about 26°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Sacramento.
