Traverse City might be well known for its huge cherry industry, but its position along Grand Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan endows it with fine scenery and a wealth of outdoor attractions.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Clinch Park and Sunset Park. Explore hidden gems such as Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery and Black Star Farms. Start off your visit on the 20th (Mon): make a trip to Is It You Spot From Somewhere in Time Movie!, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Anne's Catholic Church, get interesting insight from Tours, then steep yourself in history at Fort Holmes, and finally identify plant and animal life at Wings of Mackinac Butterfly Conservatory.
