Maine's biggest and perhaps most vibrant city, Portland was established as a fishing village in 1633 and grew to become New England's largest port.

Start off your visit on the 9th (Wed): stroll through Ocean Path, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Saviour's Church :, then make a trip to Land Bridge to Bar Island, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Shore Path. On your second day here, get engrossed in the history at Somesville Historical Museum and Gardens, contemplate the waterfront views at Jordan Pond Path Trailhead, then explore and take pictures at Park Loop Road, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cadillac Mountain.
