Marquette — 1 night

Marquette is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Marquette County. Start off your visit on the 8th (Mon): immerse yourself in nature at Presque Isle Park and then take in the awesome beauty at Sugarloaf Mountain.

Chicago to Marquette is an approximately 7.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. In August, Marquette is little chillier than Chicago - with highs of 73°F and lows of 53°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Munising.

Paradise is an unincorporated community in Whitefish Township, Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan.Paradise is on the northeastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the western side of Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, about 60mi by road from Sault Ste. Start off your visit on the 11th (Thu): contemplate the waterfront views at Tahquamenon Falls, immerse yourself in nature at Tahquamenon Falls State Park, then examine the collection at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and finally get engrossed in the history at Whitefish Point Light.
