Manchester is a town in, and one of two shire towns (county seats) of, Bennington County, Vermont, United States. On the 4th (Tue), stop by Vermont Country Store and then contemplate the long history of Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home.

Quechee is a census-designated place and one of five unincorporated villages in the town of Hartford, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. Start off your visit on the 5th (Wed): relax in the rural setting at Sugarbush Farm, then immerse yourself in nature at Quechee State Park, and then take in breathtaking views at Quechee Gorge.

Stowe bustles in winter when skiers and snowboarders flock here to challenge themselves on the long, steep trails careening down Vermont's tallest peak, Mt.
Explore Stowe's surroundings by going to Shelburne (Shelburne Farms & Shelburne Museum) and Burlington (Burlington Bike Path, Waterfront Park, &more). The adventure continues: trek along Stowe Recreation Path, indulge your thirst for a good beer at The Alchemist, get a dose of the wild on Peace Pups Dog Sledding, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Stowe Mountain Resort.

Drive from Quechee to Stowe in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and train. In October, daytime highs in Stowe are 60°F, while nighttime lows are 39°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly back home.
