Just a few metro stops away from the bustle of Washington D.C., Alexandria provides a respite from the fast-paced capital.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): take in the exciting artwork at Torpedo Factory Art Center, then wander the streets of Old Town, then get to know the fascinating history of Tomb of the Unknowns, and finally stroll the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.

Start off your visit on the 25th (Thu): contemplate the long history of Colonial Williamsburg, contemplate the long history of Governor's Palace, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, and finally look for gifts at Quirks of Art. On the 26th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Jamestown Settlement, then contemplate the long history of Historic Jamestowne, and then do a tasting at Williamsburg Winery.
