The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
On the 3rd (Fri), admire the masterpieces at National Gallery of Art and then appreciate the history behind Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at National Zoological Park, browse the eclectic array of goods at Eastern Market, then see the interesting displays at National Air and Space Museum, and finally explore the activities along Tidal Basin.

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Do your shopping at Mall of Georgia and Lenox Square. Get in touch with nature at Stone Mountain Park and Reynolds Nature Preserve. Take a break from Atlanta with a short trip to North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville, about 1h 15 min away. There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Krog Street Market, meet the residents at Georgia Aquarium, and steep yourself in history at Centennial Olympic Park.
