Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Pinnacle Mountain State Park and The Arkansas River Trail. Do your shopping at Arkansas Arts Center and Mack's Prairie Wings. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Little Rock: Arkansas Post National Memorial (in Gillett), Delta Rivers Nature Center (in Pine Bluff) and Morrilton (Movie House Winery & Cedar Falls Trail). There's still lots to do: immerse yourself in nature at Woolly Hollow State Park, sample the fine beverages at Rock Town Distillery, get a sense of history and politics at Arkansas State Capitol, and get lost in a book at William J. Clinton Presidential Library.

Green Bay to Little Rock is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. Traveling from Green Bay in April, you will find days in Little Rock are much hotter (72°F), and nights are somewhat warmer (51°F). Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can drive to Hot Springs.

Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Step off the beaten path and head to Grand Promenade and Lake Catherine State Park. Visiting Ouachita National Forest and Mount Nebo State Park will get you outdoors. Change things up with these side-trips from Hot Springs: Historic Washington State Park (in Washington), Lake Dardanelle State Park (in Dardanelle) and DeGray Lake Resort State Park (in Bismarck). Spend the 11th (Sat) exploring nature at Hot Springs National Park.
