Atlanta

— 59 nights

The Capital of the South

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Atlanta: Ball Ground (Poole's Mill Covered Bridge & Gibbs Gardens), Dawsonville (West Ridge Spring Trail & Amicalola Falls State Park) and Downtown Newnan (in Newnan). Dedicate the 15th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: observe the fascinating underwater world at Georgia Aquarium, walk around Centennial Olympic Park, steep yourself in history at Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, and let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour.

For more things to do, ratings, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Atlanta trip itinerary planning app.

If you are flying in from Gambia, the closest major aiports are Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dobbins Air Reserve Base and Robins Air Force Base. In March, plan for daily highs up to 21°C, and evening lows to 8°C.
