Carmel-by-the-Sea, often simply called Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, founded in 1902 and incorporated on October 31, 1916. Attractions like Point Lobos and Asilomar State Beach make great kid-friendly stops. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Pacific Grove Shoreline Parkway Marine Refuge and Pfeiffer State Beach. Truckee is an incorporated town in Nevada County, California, United States. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Commons Beach Park and West End Beach.
