Chesapeake is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Kids will enjoy Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Jamestown Settlement. Explore Chesapeake's surroundings by going to Virginia Beach (Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum, & more), Williamsburg (Williamsburg Art Gallery, Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, & more) and Yorktown (Yorktown Victory Monument, Colonial Parkway, & more). Spend the 20th (Sat) exploring nature at Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at St. Luke's Historic Church & Museum, look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, hike along The Noland Trail, and admire the natural beauty at Norfolk Botanical Garden.

To find traveler tips, more things to do, where to stay, and other tourist information, read our Chesapeake visit planner.

Expect a daytime high around 70°F in April, and nighttime lows around 47°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
