Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Do your shopping at Lincoln Road and Aventura Mall. Art Deco Historic District and St. Raymond Catholic Church will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Miami Beach: Fort Lauderdale Beach (in Fort Lauderdale), Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA) (in Dania Beach) and Cypress Outdoor Adventures (in Everglades Wildlife Management Area). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Collins Avenue, get a taste of the local shopping with Bayside Marketplace, admire the masterpieces at The Society of the Four Arts, and indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.
